Philebrity Presents: Footnotes

The 215 (two-one-five) Festival showcases the vibrant talent of the literary community in Philadelphia. We bring local and regional writers alongside nationally-touring authors in an annual, day-long festival of discussion panels, readings, literary performances, social events and host a marketplace for presses and literary organizations to connect with readers and writers alike.Our events include author readings, literary crawls, book-themed dance parties, literature-informed musical events, book fairs, film screenings, and panel discussions in venues as diverse as Jim’s Steaks on South Street, garden center Urban Jungle on Passyunk Avenue, the Philadelphia Art Alliance on Rittenhouse Square, Fishtown Tavern, and the Shambles at Head House Square.

Celebrate with us at the festival's final event: Footnotes. Groove to beats dropped by the Philly literary community’s hippest DJs.

The dance party will be hosted on Bramble, an innovative video conferencing website that allows you to mingle selectively among event attendees and explore a unique virtual world, all while dancing your butt off. “It’s like Zoom meets Animal Crossing.” - Reuters“Bramble is the video-conferencing platform I wish existed at the start of the pandemic.” - GizmodoThe event is free and open to the public, but a <a href="https://215fest.wedid.it/campaigns/8940-footnotes" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">suggested donation of $10</a> will be split between the 215 Festival and <a href="https://mightywriters.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mighty Writers</a>, a nonprofit that teaches more than 3,000 kids to write with clarity every year in and around Philadelphia, PA, and in Camden and Atlantic City, NJ.
