Pittsburgh TechFest is an event where software development professionals from Southwestern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas will "get together" to talk and learn about perfecting our craft. We will hear from some of the  top software companies in Pittsburgh, known to offer some of the best software development services in the region, like Dick's Sporting Goods, Sparq Designs, Troutwood, FedEx, Tech Elevator, and Aspirant. Topics will include: Cybersecurity, navigating the return to work, Blockchain, coding, tools, agile, project management, etc. All development disciplines (devs, testers, PMs, DBAs, BAs etc.) and all development stacks (Ruby, Java, .Net, JavaScript, Python, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) are welcome. Speaking as our Keynote: Jean Lange, Senior Technical Programmer, KiaviBIO:Jean brings with her, extensive knowledge and experience in computer programming, with emphasis is on web development. Her specialties include: UX, automated testing,Ruby [on Rails], React, search, web development, training, public speaking, proofreading. As a developer, she spends her time designing, writing, and reviewing code, seeking out stakeholders needs and bridging connections, and understanding and deconstructing problems to rebuild and resolve.Her go to technologies Iinclude: Ruby, git, TDD, and sticky notes. She technically program manages at Kiavi, and teaches at Academy Pittsburgh and LFG Board Game Night.
