Pets & People Outdoors Saddle Rock Dog Walk

Come join us for a fun-filled day at the Saddle Rock Trailhead for our first annual dog walk event! Bring your furry friends and enjoy a scenic walk through the beautiful trails with fellow pet lovers. It's a great opportunity to socialize, get some exercise, and bond with your pets in the great outdoors. Food and Pets & People Outdoors branded t-shirts, dog bandanas and hats will be available to buy. Don't miss out on this pawsome event! Will there be parking at the Saddle Rock trailhead?

Yes, there is parking at the trailhead. There are 27 regular spaces and four disabled parking spaces. If this parking lot is full you can park in Dry Gulch parking lot just adjacent to the Saddle Rock parking lot, where there are 52 regular parking spaces. There is no parking along Circle Street.

Do dogs have to be on a leash?

Yes, all dogs have to be on a leash for this event, even if your dog stays at your side under voice control. We are expecting a lot of dogs and children at this event and want everyone to have a safe and fun experience.

How long does it take to hike Saddle Rock?

It is 1.3 miles from the trailhead to the top of Saddle Rock with an elevation gain of 950 ft. The loop is 2.6-miles long. It is generally considered a moderately challenging route and takes an average of 1 h 40 min to complete.

Can kids walk for free?

Kids under 8 years of age can join in the fun for free. Youth aged 8 - 18 years of age are $15 with a t-shirt or $10 without a t-shirt.
