The Nature Connection is a non-profit nature center that provides therapeutic & educational nature programs. Our focus is on building community and inspiring wonder through nature to promote mental health, social connection, and a deeper bond between people and nature.

We want to hear about your beloved companion. Share memories and create a stepping stone memorial at our nature center.

Join us for a hands-on workshop offering support around the loss of a pet. We’ll hold space for stories and memories, create a stepping-stone memorial, and spend time with our therapy animals; all supported by a licensed social worker.Please know that we understand grief is heavy enough, and finances shouldn’t add to it. If the cost is a barrier at the moment, please email me, at swirtanen@nature-connection.org and we’ll find an option that works.Please note we share our space with small animals, so you may notice their natural scents and sounds. If you’re sensitive to smells or have allergies, please keep this in mind.
