Perpich Center for Arts Education is the state agency established by the Minnesota legislature to provide all Minnesota students the opportunity to develop and integrate their artistic and academic abilities to their highest potential.Perpich Center for Arts Education has three primary programs:-The statewide, public, accredited, residential arts high school for 11th and 12th grades-The statewide arts education library, offering an extensive collection of books and materials for use by teachers, artists, students and the public-Outreach, which offers statewide professional arts integration development, serves as administration for Turnaround Arts: Minnesota, provides standards-based arts education planning and curriculum development for Minnesota K-12 schools

Presented by Perpich Arts High School, a tuition-free, public, residential arts high school for students in 11th and 12th grades.

Perpich Arts High School Dance Program is happy to present &quot;Threshold&quot;. The spring concert is the culmination of a semester of work. The dancers will demonstrate their creativity, choreographic skills, and performance expertise in 22 student choreographed works, and two guest works. The works range in style, musical choice, and intention. The title, ”Threshold”, refers to a point of departure, a transition. The dancers have created work that illuminates this stage of their lives. The dances range from haunting to harsh, from dynamic to fluid, from formal to fun.Threshold: &quot;a point of departure, a transition”&quot;Threshold&quot;Choreography by the students and guest artists: Davente Gilreath (Dance 2010) and Penelope Freeh<ul><li>Eight dancers from eight Minnesota communities</li><li>Twenty-two student choreographed dances</li><li>Two guest artists</li><li>A million ideas of inspiration</li><li>One community</li><li>Two priceless evenings</li></ul>The show runs 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with an intermission.No photography or videotaping is allowed during the performance. Video of the show will be made available to families of the dancers.
