Perichoresis 2017 Men's Gathering
Fri, May 19, 2017, 5:00 PM – Sun, May 21, 2017, 2:30 PM CDT
Perichoresis is pleased to announce the date and location of the 2017 May Men's Gathering. The dates are Friday, May 19 through Sunday May 21. We have a change of venue to announce for 2017. This year we will gather at Bill and Janice Andrew's home at 212 Rolling Oaks Drive, Three Way, Tennessee 38343 which is near Jackson Tennessee.
We look forward to a "large" time at Bill's 100 plus acre spread. Bill and his wife Janice recently hosted some board members and we think attendees will enjoy the vast natural surroundings. "Toasting at the Tower" could very quickly become an evening tradition. (Advertisers call that a teaser.)
The topic for the 2017 Gathering is: The Meaning of the Crucifixion of the Father’s Son. This topic should be of interest to all. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to participate in what will be an extraordinary weekend discussion. We are limiting attendance to the first 100 who register so don’t wait until the last minute to sign-up.
Our speakers for the weekend will be Dr. C. Baxter Kruger, author of The Great Dance, Jesus and the Undoing of Adam, The Shack Revisited, and most recently, Patmos. Baxter is the founder and President of Perichoresis and lives in Brandon Mississippi.
Our special guest speaker will be Dr. Brad Jersak, author of Her Gates Will Never be Shut, and A More Christlike God and co-editor with Michael Hardin of Stricken by God?. Brad was a pastor and church-planter for 20 years. He now teaches New Testament and Patristics at Westminster Theological Centre (UK) and is the senior editor for CWR/PTM Ministries. He lives in Abbotsford, BC, Canada.
In addition, we will be joined by musical quest Godfrey Birtill. Godfrey travels extensively throughout the UK and abroad leading worship and preaching the gospel. He has also led at many city prayer gatherings and regularly leads teaching seminars. He also leads regular events in Lincoln and Sheffield called, ‘Glory in the Pub’ taking worship and the gospel into public houses. He has released sixteen live CDs and two studio CDs. His songs include 'Outrageous Grace', 'Are You Ready?' and CBC Praise and worship song of the year, 'Just One Touch From The King'.
Conference Fee: The cost for the weekend conference is $195. That includes the conference; Dinner Friday evening; Lunch and dinner on Saturday; and our closing meal about 2:00 Sunday afternoon. We will also provide basic munchies and beverages throughout the weekend. The doors (so to speak) will open at 5:00 p.m. Friday, May 19. Our last session will end approximately 2:00 p.m. Sunday, but will be followed by a meal.
Accommodations: All the rooms we previously reserved at the Fairfield Inn have been booked and the Fairfield is now sold out for our weekend. We have made alternative arrangements with the Comfort Suites and with Howard Johnson's Inn. Both are nearby the Fairfield Inn. The address of the Comfort Suites is 61 Casey Jones Lane, Jackson, TN 38305. And their phone number is 731-868-1700. The rooms at the Comfort Suites are all singles with king beds and run $129 per night plus fees and taxes. There are 10 rooms reserved for a limited time. We have also reserved a block of 20 rooms at the Howard Johnsons Inn in Jackson, TN. These are all single rooms with King beds for $79 per night plus taxes and fees.
