Not at all! This workshop is designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the history and art of perfume-making, with plenty of support along the way.

What will I make and take home?

Each participant will create their own custom-blended natural perfume to take home in a beautiful glass bottle. There are options to add dried flowers, or gemstones to the bottle to make it uniquely yours.

The workshop lasts approximately 90+ minutes, including both the historical introduction and hands-on blending experience.

Absolutely! That’s the heart of the experience. You’ll explore different scent profiles and create a fragrance that reflects your personal taste. You will also be able to add visual interest to your bottle in the form of dried flowers and gemstones, to make it uniquely yours!

We use natural ingredients, but sensitivities can vary. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, please review ingredients in advance or contact us with questions.

Just yourself and a friend to make it even more fun! Everything you need will be provided. You may wish to bring a camera!

Participants should be 18+. Younger attendees may attend with a participating adult.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will receive a full refund. Due to limited seating and preparation, we cannot offer refunds for last-minute cancellations.

What happens if the workshop is canceled?

In the rare event of low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be notified at least 48 hours in advance and offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

1430 High Street #504, Williamsburg, VA 23185  Plenty of free parking is available in front and nearby.

What if I want to make a second bottle to take home?

You are certainly welcome to make as many bottles as you'd like. Each additional bottle is only $20.

Rebecca Suerdieck is a historian and educator who specializes in traditional domestic arts. Her workshops combine historical insight with hands-on creativity, making complex subjects approachable and enjoyable. She has researched and recreated historic  and all-natural fragrances since  2011.
