followed by live music with Queens-based band Os Clavelitos!

Os Clavelitos is an American Samba band based in New York City. Os Clavelitos perform traditional and popular Brazilian songs, sung in Portuguese, as well as their original music that celebrates Brazil's rich musical heritage; combining Brazilian rhythms (samba, baiao, bossa nova, and frevo) with English lyrics. Os Clavelitos is about coming together to share culture and influences; celebrating community, inclusion and having fun. Os Clavelitos' show is as welcoming as a leisurely Sunday feast, abundant with food, friends, dancing, and samba. They often incorporate batucada (percussion ensemble) into their shows and present an upbeat, high energy performance that gets people up and dancing!

Performances subject to change. Performances may be canceled due to extreme weather conditions; please follow us on Instagram for up-to-date announcements.

The Queensboro Dance Festival launched in 2014 and is an annual summer season of public events and performances presenting only Queens-based cultural and contemporary dance companies. We tour the borough, bringing Queens dance to theaters, parks, plazas, libraries, and streets to serve the Queens public and visitors.  We strive to represent a slice of Queens dance, with the mission to strengthen the dance community in Queens and garner a greater appreciation for Queens dance.  Follow us in Instagram @queensborodancefestival, and visit www.queensborodancefestival.queensborodancefestival.or.
