Located on Northwestern’s lakefront campus in Evanston, The Block engages audiences from across the Chicago region with exhibitions, films, and programs that spark critical thinking and creativity.A collection of more than 6,000 works fuels teaching, learning, and research across the university, supporting a rotating exhibition program grounded in Northwestern’s curriculum. Enjoy a night of live music from Chicago-based ensemble, <a href="https://www.eastloopmusic.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The East Loop</a>. The band brings together African American, Middle Eastern, and South American music in their dynamic, original compositions. Come experience The East Loop perform a blend of music traditions including Jazz and Maqam. Programs are open to all, on a first-come first-served basis. RSVPs not required, but appreciated. Presented in partnership with Northwestern’s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mena.northwestern/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MENA Student Association</a>, and held in conjunction with &quot;Taking Shape: Abstraction from the Arab World, 1950s – 1980s.&quot; The Block Museum of Art acknowledges support from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
