About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us just outside the gates of Napier Barracks for a live mapping event where performance becomes a living archive. Featuring work developed in community workshops, this public gathering re-situates stories that systems try to erase - offering acts of remembrance, resistance, and belonging on the land itself. Join us in re-mapping the coast, let your presence be part of the new terrain. Followed by food and conversation.

Napier Barracks is the site for Napier Drop-In Centre, which has been running every week since March 2021. A group of volunteers have come together to run a drop-in centre for asylum seekers housed at Napier Barracks in Folkestone, Kent. When they first opened the Napier Drop-in it was essential for the residents to have a welcoming, safe-space to seek advice and support and provide relief from their housing quarters in the Barracks.
