Description

Pellet Boiler Boot Camp is a one-day “deep dive” into the operating characteristics of modern pellet-fueled boilers, and how to seamlessly integrate them into complete heating systems in both retrofit and new construction applications. You’ll also get the tools to speak authoritatively to your customers about why pellet boilers matter to climate change, sustainable forests, and Vermont’s economy.

This Course qualifies for CEUs from the following:
American Institute of Architects, AIA
Building Performance Institute, BPI
Energy Efficiency Network (Needed to qualify for the VT state incentive for pellet boilers)
Vermont Department of Public Safety (exact number of CEUs pending)

Good news! If you have the ability to apply the knowledge gained in this class to jobs in Burlington, VT – Burlington Electric Department encourages Early Bird applicants to apply for a scholarshipthat would cover 50% of the training cost.

Topics covered include:

• Pellet boiler operating characteristics
• Fuel cost comparisons
• Pellet storage and conveyance options
• Combustion air supply and venting systems
• Thermal storage and piping options for thermal storage
• Integration of existing or auxiliary heat sources
• Unique control strategies and hardware
• Low temperature heat emitters
• Important lessons learned and situations to avoid
• Several complete system templates.
