The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) is pleased to announce its L.I.T sub-national Tour in the South -South in celebration of the region’s enterprise.
Created in July, 2016, PEBEC's mandate is to make Nigeria a progressively better place for businesses to thrive by collaborating with state governments, the National Assembly, the judiciary and other regulatory partners to reduce the cost, time and number of regulatory procedures required to set up and carry on business within the country.
In attendance at this event is His Excellency, Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel present as host to listen to and engage with the business community. Also, in attendance will be Honourable Ministers, the Special Adviser to the President on Ease of Doing Business, senior officials of the Federal and State Governments and regulatory agencies.
The over 140 reforms implemented are beginning to take hold, earning Nigeria a spot on the World Bank's top-20 improvers in doing-business list for 2020. Nigeria, over the past three years, has also moved up an unprecedented 24 places on the World Bank's Doing Business rankings after several years of declines.
As government across all levels continues to hold itself accountable to businesses in Nigeria, the L.I.T sub-national Tour offers entrepreneurs and the larger business community an opportunity to collaborate more closely as stakeholders.
