Peace Maker is a free art exhibition on Black culture, memory, and lived experience, with meditation, art, and conversation.
Peace Maker is a reflective art exhibition exploring Black culture, memory, and the personal spaces and objects that shape identity. Through painting and presentation, the work draws from lived experience, including homelessness, nomadic movement, and moments of grounding found in the home, on public transit, and in cultural objects that provide connection and stability.
As the artist’s Hu.mp3 Carter first exhibition, Peace Maker invites guests into an intimate, performative evening of art, meditation, conversation, and community. The experience will begin with an hour of guided quiet and reflection from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where guest can get involved if they choose and followed by a presentation, artist talk, and open discussion with attendees.
This exhibition is a space to pause, reflect, step away from AI and engage with art that holds both personal history and collective meaning. Admission is free, but tickets are required to reserve your place.
