Do you have an idea to share with the world? Lessons learned that could help others? Do you want to speak at a conference?
Conference organizers often receive far more pitches from potential speakers than they have time on the schedule. Help your idea stand out and improve your chances for getting accepted as a conference speaker by improving your pitch. Kathy Lee, a .net software developer who has spoken at two national conferences and for PDXWIT, will lead a workshop to prepare you.

Q: What is the parking situation? 
A: There are two and four hour meters surrounding our location, and after 7:00 p.m. parking is free.
 
Q: Is there secured bike parking?
A: Yes, we have secured bike parking at our location.
 
Q: Should I consider using public transportation?
A: Yes, the Portland Streetcar is nearby our location.
 
Purpose:
PDXWIT is a community-based non-profit organization. Our purpose is to strengthen the Portland women in tech community by offering educational programs, partnerships, mentorships, resources and opportunities. We are unifying a supportive environment for current and potential women in tech, all of whom are committed to helping each other. Our goal is to bring together and empower women in tech and to encourage others to pursue tech careers. This is our step towards reducing the gender imbalance in the industry and addressing the current negative effects of that imbalance on women.
