PCPR/OSTRC Joint Meeting

Mission:The Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable seeks to strengthen a community of college access and success practitioners who believe in the potential of all individuals and help students navigate the path to and through higher education. We provide tools, resources and opportunities for discourse; support leadership development in the field; and seek to bridge the gap between policy, research and practice in the area of college access and completion.

Join the Out-of-School Time Resource Center (<A HREF="http://www.ostrc.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OSTRC</A>) and the Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable (<A HREF="http://www.collegepreproundtable.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PCPR</A>) in collaboration with the School District of Philadelphia's Office of Strategic Partnerships (<A HREF="http://philaosp.weebly.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OSP</A>) as we discuss, support, and promote "college access and success" through cross-sector collaboration. This will be an exciting and enriching two-day professional event series for stakeholders who are committed to helping young people succeed!

The PCPR meeting will focus on the high school to college transition with a panelist of academic success support and retention specialist from public and private colleges and universities. Panelist will discuss what colleges and universities are looking for in student success; what students from urban centers are coming to campus equipped with to succeed; and what can/should could be done for better college, school and community relationships to support students academic and social success.
There will be our traditional time for professional networking and announcements to support the PCPR community at large.
The OSTRC meeting on December 14th will focus on helping youth make successful transitions (i.e., from elementary to middle to high school to postsecondary and beyond).
