As the opportunities for innovation in payments continue to grow, we want to enable developers to build forward thinking commerce experiences. That’s why we are bringing Payments 101 to Toronto on June 13th. Come and enjoy food and drinks while you hear senior Visa leaders and special guest speakers give a “cheat sheet” style introduction to the payments ecosystem, as well as the flourishing remittance and P2P space in Canada.

Speakers: Stacey Madge, Country Manager and President, Visa Canada: 
Stacey Madge has served as Country Manager and President for Visa Canada since April 28, 2017. In her role, she is responsible for leading the Canadian market for Visa. Previously, Ms. Madge was a Senior Vice President in the International Banking Group at Scotiabank, overseeing retail and small business across 30 Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Prior to her role at Scotiabank, Ms. Madge was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader in the areas of retail banking, mergers and acquisitions, and sales force effectiveness. 
Brian Weiner, Head of Product and Vice President, Visa Canada: 
Brian Weiner is the Vice President and Head of Product for Visa Canada. His organization is responsible for the development and rollout of Visa’s full Canadian product suite, including its traditional credit, debit, and prepaid products, as well as its expanding array of digital products and capabilities including the Visa Developer Platform.
Looking ahead, Brian and his team are focused on re-imagining the future of payments in collaboration with many partners across the payments ecosystem in Canada and around the world. Brian has won multiple awards for his work in evolving electronic payments in Canada, and he was recognized as a global winner of Visa’s Go Beyond program. 
Lea Ruuth, Head of Core Payment Technology, Visa Canada 
Lea Ruuth has over 20 years of experience in the global payments industry in both Europe and Canada, including several operational roles within Visa. As the Head of Core Payment Technology, Lea is responsible for driving the creation and development of technology for new and existing Visa products and services.  Previously, Lea led Canada’s Client Service Support team, overseeing operational support and program implementations for Visa’s Canada-based clients. 
Howard Klein, President, Peoples Payment Solutions
Howard has over eighteen years of payments experience in both regulated and unregulated industries.  He has held C-Level positions in various global payments companies and was heavily involved with M&A activity, bringing his last company from a $150 Million market cap to over $2 Billion. He has developed a deep understanding of the current regulatory landscape both domestically and abroad and leverages his experience to find innovative solutions to complex business problems.
Claude Belmonte, Assistant Vice President IT Development, Peoples Payment Solutions
With almost two decades of application development and IT management experience, Claude was instrumental in the development of the PSiGate e.commerce gateway; other payment related back-office systems; and merchant and cardholder facing user interfaces.  Claude knows payments and technology and uses this knowledge to conceive and lead development of innovative solutions.    
Stephen Menon, Product Leader, Finn AI
Stephen Menon is a seasoned digital acquisition and product strategist in the financial services industry. With over 12 years of working experience in various lines of business within banking, Menon formerly served as VP of Operations at MBNA (acquired by Bank of America) leading customer optimization strategies (experience, service, retention), and SVP of Marketing and Product. He later moved to TD Bank as AVP responsible for consumer credit cards, including the launch of Aeroplan which exceeded new account application and acquisition expectations by over 100%. Today, Menon is Product Leader at Finn AI - an award-winning technology service provider for banks. He specializes in direct customer acquisition and strategic product design and partnerships.
