Westport Art Festival, started 25 years ago as a Plein Air rendezvous. Participation in this two-day festival is free for artists out and about, in addition to several blocks of vendors, who pay for tent space. They will provide an Artists check-in tent with banner, right next to the festival info tent, with chairs, information, participation badges and some 'Thanks Bags' for us. For further information on the Arts Festival see Westportartfestival.org or on Facebook Westport Art Festival.

Artists are encouraged to bring an example or two of their art for display at the Plein Air tent. We will have display panels.

This event is still evolving, so please check back nearer the date in case there are additional details.

Meeting location Day 1:

Near 2500 Westhaven Dr., Westport,
Look for the Festival info table banner, or the Plein Air banner and tent located in the same area
Meet at the table about 10 am, for name tags and swag. Please do check in for our participation demographic numbers.

Lunch plans:

You cannot possibly go hungry unless you want to. That said, my personal go-to sugar fix is Little Richard’s donuts but go EARLY, they sell out fast. Some free food will likely available. They had some sandwiches and drinks for us last year, and a volunteer with coffee and donuts made some rounds.

Day 2: Continue painting

Directions:

Highway 105 west from Aberdeen or Raymond; follow signs to the harbor.

Recommended Lodging/camping:

Book early. This will be a busy weekend, that said Twin Harbors State Park has camping nearby, some RV parks, and a slew of AirBnBs, VRBOs, vacation rooms and cottages; book as early as possible. Aberdeen and Raymond are not far away, with additional possibilities.

Other notes about this event - include parking info

The festival area on the harbor is closed off to vehicles. There are both paved and unpaved lots nearby. Last year my morning spot was rough ground but not too far a hike. It was busy early in the morning, but later in the afternoon I found a spot right on the harbor.

This event is different from other PAWA events in that it is a two-day street fair that started in 1996. We are invited as Emeritus Members, free to participate, sell off the easel, see and be seen by visitors.
Parking can be tough especially for late arrivals.
Please check in/register at the artists tent.

All paint-outs are for Plein Air Washington members. It is easy to join PAWA online. It is a good idea to print out this Eventbrite page to bring with you to be able to refer to this information.

Thank you for signing up and HAPPY PAINTING!
