About this event

  • 3 hours 30 minutes

Join us at Superfine—DUMBO's most icnonic venue—for an evening of music, comedy, food and fundraising in honor of Paul Sieswerda, the late, great founder of Gotham Whale. All proceeds will benefit whale research, education, and conservation around NYC, and help Gotham Whale build a sustainble future.

The night will feature comedy by Matt Dugas, sea shanties from the Ranzo Boys, a silent auction of ocean-themed wares, a viewing of Ran Levy's Humpbacks Return, mermaids, speeches from Gotham Whale's Zack Klyver and PJ Sieswerda, and more! All MC'd by Project 142's Scot Albertson.

Entry includes a whale-safe lobster appetizer (while supplies last), a beer, and a yearlong membership to Gotham Whale . Food and drinks will be available a la carte from Superfine's farm-to-table, organic menu.

Gotham Whale is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the whale population around New York City. Our work includes monitoring whale sightings and behavior, studying migration patterns, and collaborating with researchers, government agencies, and other organizations to support cetacean conservation efforts and advocate for policies that protect whales and their habitat. We also conduct educational programs and public outreach events to engage the community in stewardship of local marine ecosystems.
