This October we’re joined by authors and Sheridan College professors Paul Vermeersch and Alex Hollenberg to launch their respective poetry collections NMLCT: Poems and Human Story will not Consume the Cosmos!
Paul Vermeersch is a poet, multimedia artist, professor, and editor. Paul holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Guelph for which he received the Governor General's Gold Medal. He is currently a professor at Sheridan College where he serves as the editor-in-chief of The Ampersand Review of Writing & Publishing. He is also the senior editor of Wolsak and Wynn Publishers where he created the poetry and fiction imprint Buckrider Books. His eighth collection of poetry, NMLCT, will be published in September 2025 by ECW Press. He lives in Toronto.
Alexander Hollenberg is from Hamilton, Ontario. He is a Pushcart-nominated poet and professor of storytelling who loves to write about crows and fish. His debut collection, Human Story will not Consume the Cosmos, was published by Gaspereau Press in June 2025. Some of his new work can be found in Arc, The New Quarterly, Prairie Fire, and Grain. Recently, he won Contemporary Verse 2’s Two-Day Poem Contest.
