Path to Plenty: A Walk to Support Food Security Worldwide
Overview
Path to Plenty: A Walk to Support Food Security Worldwide
Join folks from Portland Friends of the Dhamma, Oregon Buddhist Temple, No-Rank Zendo, and Wise Spirit Buddhist Community, in a multi-community effort to raise money in support of food security, both locally and abroad.
Portland’s Path to Plenty event will help fund the efforts of Buddhist Global Relief to alleviate malnutrition and starvation, and engender food security worldwide. The sharp decline in U.S. humanitarian aid makes donations to Buddhist Global Relief more impactful than ever. The Walk will also support the work of Urban Gleaners to collect and distribute food to folks in need here in Portland.
In times like these, it may seem that much divides us. But uplifting actions, like this Walk, offer us a way to express our unity and goodwill as caring human beings, no matter who we are.
We hope you’ll consider taking part in this heartfelt expression of compassion in action!
