Join us in person to make your own patchwork pillow sham - this is a perfect project for someone who has some sewing skills.
Join Our Patchwork Pillow Sham Workshop!
In this class we will construct a quilted patchwork pillow sham together.
In order to take this class, you need to have some basic knowledge of using a sewing machine. It is a beginner friendly project that is all straight line sewing and will be a great project for someone who is ready to try a little bit more difficult project.
You can bring your own sewing machine to class or rent one for an additional fee. To rent, you will add that on when you are signing up for the class. You are required to bring your own supplies.
Supplies needed:
-16 fabric squares that are 5 inches x 5 inches (cut before class begins). A charm pack is a great way to purchase these pre-cut.
-1/2 yard of fabric for the backing (quilting cotton, canvas, lightweigh upholstry fabric will work.
-18 inch sqare of backing fabric (This will be on this inside of the pillow and no one will see it. It's a good opportunity to use up scraps or cheap material)
-Coordinating thread
-A 20 inch pillow form (you do not need to bring this to class, but it is the size you will need for this pillow sham)
I will provide the fusible fleece for this project and some sewing basics like scissors/rulers/pins, but if you have specific tools you like to use like fabric pens, chalk, extra needles, pins etc bring them too.
**If you purchase supplies for this class at the store, you will receive a 10% discount.
