This merry band of westerners (both north and south american) thread together such influences as Texas country, Latin ballads, and Romani swing. Their music, like an old worn-out quilt, tells tales of love, loss, resilience and the human experience. A heaping helping of honky-tonk humanity might be just what you need.
At the helm, and oft (but not always) holding the six-string, is front man Shane “Bob” Lory. A texan by birth lottery, he was inspired by the reverent and honest simplicity of Blaze Foley and the haunted musings of Townes Van Zandt. With a voice that hitches between honey and gravel, Lory steers the ensemble through performances that traverse the tender and the raucous.
