Paste & Print: Collagraph Printing Workshop

Paste & Print: Collagraph Printing Workshop

Center for Visual ArtDenver, CO
Thursday, Mar 12 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm
Overview

Collagraph is a versatile printmaking technique that uses everyday textured materials glued onto a plate to create richly layered images.

Join us at 6:00pm for a short talk with artist Virginia Diaz Saiki about her work. The 2-hour, hands-on workshop will begin at 6:30pm where participants will explore how to build your own printing plates, experiment with textures and inking methods, and create unique, expressive prints. No previous printmaking experience required.

This event is hosted in conjunction with the Futures: 528.0 Regional Printmaking Exhibition on view through March 21 at the Center for Visual Art. The exhibition features artists residing within a 528.0-mile radius of Denver, Colorado. This juried exhibition seeks to celebrate the expansive diversity of contemporary printmaking found within this western region and aims to highlight both traditional and alternative printmaking methods being used in the field of contemporary printmaking. It is presented in partnership with Denver’s Month of Printmaking.
