Opening Remarks

Benji is a Commercial Real Estate Broker with Colliers International Detroit by day. He & his wife Sarah are passionate disability advocates. They have two amazing kids, Na’amah (14) and Ellah (12). Benji is a founding board member of the Coffin Siris Syndrome Foundation, which is Ellah’s primary genetic diagnosis. He is also a live music fanatic, a mildly competent musician, and lover of all things Detroit. Benji & Sarah have found music to be the foundation for building a non-verbal communication language with Ellah. Benji was asked to give a TED Talk in 2022 about the process of building this sign language vocabulary through music. Since then, different organizations and companies have invited Benji to come in and present to their teams about how non-verbal communication can help them be more productive and effective. It’s been an incredible journey for Benji to help both special needs families improve their quality of life and businesses improve their communication.

Inspiring Communication 

Erika Rivera Jaramillo was born in Colombia where she started her career as a professional dancer. Her talent brought her to South Korea where she lived for over seven years. After building her brand as a Colombian ambassador, she moved to the U.S. four years ago to continue cultivating corporate skills by adding experience to her educational background in International Business. Erika is a life and leadership coach whose main purpose is to help others by inspiring them to believe in the power that lies within them. She is the Co-founder of Monarch Coaching, a professional development company with a focus on transformational leadership, and the leader of the Leadership Development Team at the #1 Wholesale mortgage company in America. Her workshop is all about growth and a positive mindset and how those two can help you achieve anything you want in life.

For over two decades, Barbara has empowered introverted and non-native English-speaking professionals to develop the persuasive communication skills they need to advance their careers and create greater impact. After living and working in Europe for 20+ years, helping professionals from 35+ countries to deliver effective business presentations, Barbara has developed a unique ability to identify why a message is not connecting. Whether due to cultural differences, language challenges or delivery flaws, she helps her clients transform how they communicate so they can get heard and recognized for their contributions. Drawing from her lived international experience and academic background in international relations, Barbara delivers high-impact, captivating, and inspirational keynotes that inspire her audiences to take risks, overcome their communication challenges and present their big ideas with confidence.

Amanda Sweet, affectionately known as the Creative Fairy Godmother, is an immersive and experiential global speaker, author and host. Her goal is to help people make friends, get fly, and save the world through community expansion. Through Sweet’s work as a Confidence Coach and Personal Image Stylist and Community influencer through her organization, “The ReVamp” she helps to bring one's passion out on purpose, helping people to live their fullest. Sweet’s mission of personal image growth, risk-taking, and boundary pushing experience expands over a decade within Event Curation, Community Building, Plus Size Advocacy, Creative Direction & Storytelling. Amanda Sweet is the former and first Miss Voluptuous America on a Global Pageant Stage celebrating and empowering plus-size, and all size, women and girls all over the world. Through her platform, Party with Purpose, Amanda Sweet lives and breathes the mission of bringing joy to the world and leaving it better than she found it.

Cultivating Confidence 

Aaron is a seasoned professional and expert in leadership, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and employee development. With over a decade of leadership experience across multiple business sectors including call centers, insurance administration, and mortgages, he's been able to hone his true passion at each stop - developing and supporting the growth of people. Aaron currently serves as the Diversity & Inclusion Coach for United Wholesale Mortgage, the nation's leading mortgage lender, where he helps develop and lead the DEI strategy both internally and externally. Aaron is best known at United Wholesale Mortgage for facilitating engaging workshops and training sessions, conducting impactful one-on-one coaching sessions for leaders, and facilitating the launch of 9 team member resource groups.
