Philadelphia’s elite cause-driven gala, Party with a Purpose, has selected the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) as the beneficiary for its 16th annual Party with a Purpose. Funds raised at this year's event will be dedicated to ovarian cancer research.

Sarah and Daniel Keating

Sarah and Dan Keating are esteemed philanthropic leaders in the Philadelphia community. Among their charitable works, they have raised critical funding to support scientists and doctors in their quest to defeat cancer. Mr. Keating, himself a cancer survivor, established his career as a construction manager and real estate developer, renowned for his work in developing the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Lincoln Financial Field, and Sugarhouse Casino. Mrs. Keating is an attorney and the CEO of Keating Environmental Management, Inc., a woman-owned business and a leader in the environmental services industry. Most importantly, she is a volunteer child advocate attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates in Philadelphia, acting as a guardian ad litem for children in both family and criminal court. Married 28 years, Dan and Sarah have six adult children and are currently empty-nesters living in the western suburbs of Philadelphia with their two dogs, Buddha and Cosmo.



AACR Foundation/Party with a Purpose Scientific Achievement Award Dedicated to Ovarian Cancer Research

Stephen Rubin, M.D.
Chief of Gynecologic Oncology
Fox Chase Cancer Center

Dr. Rubin is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of gynecologic cancers. He has authored hundreds of articles on the subject and has published six textbooks. Dr. Rubin will, in turn, award our grant to a deserving young scientist, Gina Mantia-Smaldone, M.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Surgical Oncology Ovarian and Gynecologic Cancer TRDG Member, who is dedicated to researching ovarian cancer.
