For You is delighted to announce PARTY ON! PARTY PEOPLE, a series of four unique, one-time-only events celebrating elders in our community.
PARTY ON! THE 4 O’CLOCK PARTY is a “happy hour” in honor of eight members of Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (LBFE). Over snacks and drinks, storytelling and music, the public is invited to meet and engage with these eight individuals, and perhaps bring an elder friend of their own. This event is designed to foster intergenerational friendships.
For You are inaugural artists in residence at Ruth’s Table, an arts nonprofit inspired by the life of artist Ruth Asawa, providing creative opportunities for older adults and adults with disabilities. Produced in partnership with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly (LBFE), an international network of nonprofits whose mission is to reduce social isolation and loneliness among older adults in San Francisco, many of whom are low-income. PARTY ON! PARTY PEOPLE will take place in different locations around San Francisco from June 9 – 22.
