We live in community with people of all ages suffering from the immediate and longer-term effects of childhood trauma. Understanding the impact of ACES (Adverse Childhood Events) and learning how to create PACES (Protective and Compensatory Experiences) will deepen our compassionate response and provide us with tools to better care for ourselves and others.

Joe is recognized across the state of Washington as a passionate and expert speaker on the topics of substance abuse prevention and trauma, particularly with regard to the study of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
