About this event

PLEASE NOTE: All art tours are now 60 minutes long! In addition, all 3 of my art tours are now completely independent of each other, so there is no repetition of art work on any of the tours.

This tour is pay-what-you-want ! If you enjoy the tour, please compensate your guide appropriately! CASH ONLY please! Usually, the guide receives $15 to $20 per adult, but you are free to give more or less than that, depending on how you feel about your tour. As you can imagine, the tour guide has to work hard to earn your appreciation!

Tours have always been pay-what-you-want, but advance registration is now REQUIRED. I need to ensure that there will not be too many people on the tour, and I need to be able to communicate with you if the tour needs to be cancelled due to the weather or low signups.

This tour requires a minimum number of signups in order to run! If the minimum number is not reached, the tour will be cancelled. You will receive either a tour confirmation email with some last minute details or a cancellation email through Eventbrite no later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of the tour. Please check your email the day before the tour and please read any email that you receive about the tour through Eventbrite!

This tour leaves the starting point VERY quickly so that we can start seeing all of the fabulous art, so PLEASE be on time! If you are late, you can catch up with us by going east on Martin St. for one block, toward Wilmington St. We will be near the intersection of Martin St. and Wilmington St. for a while because there is a lot of art to see in that area. We will then head south on Wilmington St. for two blocks and will eventually head back up Wilmington St. to Davie St.

If you have been on the Original Downtown Raleigh Murals & Public Tour, you will love this second public art tour route with all NEW material!!

This cool downtown tour takes you off the beaten path and shows you some of Raleigh’s best and most vibrant large scale art works! The focus of the tour is exclusively on Raleigh’s creative murals. Be sure to bring your camera so that you don’t miss out on all the great photo opportunities!

If you haven’t been on the Original Murals tour, you can check it out here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-original-raleigh-murals-tour-tickets-64929634284?aff=oddtdtcreator

PLEASE NOTE: This tour lasts approximately 60 minutes, but may be slightly longer depending on the size and speed of the group. We will start on the sidewalk outside of the United States Post Office at 300 Fayetteville St.

If you are late, you can catch up with us by going east on Martin St. toward Wilmington St. We will view several murals on Wilmington St., so you should be able to catch up with us at the corner of Wilmington and Martin Sts. After that, the tour will proceed down Wilmington St. to the south (i.e. toward Davie St.).

The tour will end about a block to the south at the corner of Fayetteville St. and Davie St. There will not be any restroom breaks or stops for food/drinks.

Please plan your parking accordingly. Free street parking is available on weekends. If you prefer to park in a deck, there are several decks and parking lots in the area to choose from. You can find a list of places to park downtown here: https://downtownraleigh.org/getting-around/parking

The mural in the photo accompanying this listing is by local artist Robert Quinn. It is untitled, but is often referred to as Wild NC.
