This 3-part virtual workshop series is designed to support parents with practical tools to everyday challenges.
Note: All workshops will be recorded. If you purchase a workshop but are unable to attend at the scheduled day or time, we will send you a video recording of the presentation.
Parenting comes with big feelings, boundary testing, and lots of “what am I supposed to do here?” moments. This 3-part virtual workshop series is designed to support parents of toddlers and elementary-aged children with practical tools, compassionate guidance, and a shame-free approach to everyday challenges.
Parents may register for individual workshops or enroll in the full series, with a 10% series rate available for those who choose the complete package. All sessions are affordable, easily accessed online, and held during lunch hour on Fridays at noon to support busy parent schedules.
This series is hosted by Katrina Kessler, a licensed therapist and passionate advocate for children’s and parents’ mental health. Katrina is trained in Dr. Becky’s Good Inside approach and supports caregivers in feeling more confident, connected, and grounded in their parenting.
Katrina has led online parenting support groups, offered individual parenting consultations, and facilitated play-based groups for caregivers and their children.
As a parent herself, Katrina brings both professional expertise and lived understanding, bridging evidence-based practice with the realities of everyday parenting.
Workshop 1 – March 27
I. Power Struggles to Partnership
Children push boundaries because it’s how they learn self-regulation, independence, and who they are. But when every moment becomes a power struggle—getting dressed, leaving the park, brushing teeth—it can feel exhausting and personal.
In this practical, brain-based workshop, parents will learn how to hold limits without yelling, bribing, or giving in—and without damaging connection.
You’ll walk away with:
- Simple, effective language
- Real-life scripts you can use immediately
- A new way to think about boundaries that actually works
Workshop 2 – April 10
Big Feelings with Siblings
Sibling conflict can feel nonstop: grabbing, screaming, tattling, hitting, and endless cries of “That’s not fair!”
In this warm, practical workshop, parents will learn what sibling fights are really about—and how to respond in ways that build emotional safety, resilience, and lifelong relationship skills.
Instead of trying to stop the fighting, we’ll focus on helping children:
- Express big feelings safely
- Learn repair
- Build emotional intelligence
- Feel secure in their family
- Develop empathy (without forcing it)
This workshop blends brain science, attachment-based parenting, and real-life scripts you can use today.
Workshop 3 – April 24
My Body, My Choice
We want our children to feel safe in their bodies—but how do we teach that without making them afraid of the world?
In this warm, practical workshop, parents will learn how to teach body autonomy, consent, and boundaries in everyday moments: hugs, tickles, diaper changes, roughhousing, sharing, and personal space. Parents will also feel empowered to step confidently into their role as advocates for their children in schools, camps, sports and community spaces.
This isn’t a “stranger danger” talk. It’s about raising kids who trust their feelings, use their voices, and know their bodies belong to them.
