Parent Summit

PRIDE of Tuscaloosa is a 501©3 that is dedicated to creating substance abuse awareness and prevention throughout Tuscaloosa and the West Alabama Area. Currently, the organization has a third-grade prevention program and four-part middle school program focused on transitional ages. PRIDE also provides high-school prevention programs by request. PRIDE recently implemented prevention services at Shelton State Community College and has two satellite offices on-site.PRIDE organizes multiple events per year throughout the Tuscaloosa area. PRIDE staff and volunteers work diligently using various prevention strategies to provide drug education and awareness throughout the Tuscaloosa community.

<p>P.R.I.D.E. of Tuscaloosa&#x27;s Parent Summit is an annual event that is set to kick off for the first time in April of 2022. Our TSAP and BSAP Coalitions have collaborated to host this event and we could not be more excited. The Parent Summit is a conference designed to help educate parents on current substance trends and other issues affecting our communities&#x27; youth. The summit includes topics such as: </p><ul><li>Current Drug Trends</li><li>Drug Trends Identified (within the schools that P.R.I.D.E. serves)</li><li>Dangers of Social Media</li></ul>
