After eight months of focused research exploring how health visitors can better support parents around alcohol consumption, we're ready to share what we've learned! And we need your expertise to help shape what comes next.

We've gathered insights from health visitors across England, listened to parents' experiences, and developed a draft care pathway for compassionate conversations about alcohol during routine visits. Now we're planning to bring together stakeholders who can help us refine this approach into something genuinely useful for practice.

During the Workshop

We will present findings from three work streams:

• A nationwide survey of health visitors in England
• Four focus group sessions with health visitors from Hull, East Yorkshire and Derbyshire
• Interviews with parents of under-3s who've recently engaged with health visiting services in Hull, The Humber, East Yorkshire and Derbyshire

Then we will present an outline draft alcohol care pathway, informed by the above workstreams, for you to help shape collaboratively, drawing on your knowledge and experience of what will actually work on the ground.
