Parent Coaching: Understanding Sensory Processing Issues

Fostering Hope (FH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that works toward a healing home for every child in Texas. We do this by equipping families, churches and organizations to transform the lives of children.

Children who have experienced trauma early on can have trouble processing the sensory information they take in from the world around them.

Fostering Hope Austin Family Center 

They can experience sound, touch, taste and sight information that quickly overwhelms them or might always be looking for this sensory information . These issues can be overwhelming for kids and can lead them to have difficulties learning or socializing. In this session we will learn the basics to understand sensory processing issues and the tools that can help kids and how to make changes for them in our home. Our parent coaching sessions are workshops with a small number of participants. Bring your specific questions as our parent trainer will be able to give more one on one answers due to the small number of participants in the group. Foster parents will receive a certificate of attendance at this session for continuing education credits.This session will be held online. After registering, you will receive the link to join us online.
