Paper Shield: Opening Reception

Since 1975, Kapoor Galleries Inc. has played an instrumental role in educating the public about Ancient and Classical Fine Arts of India and the Himalayas and encouraging interest in Indian art among collectors and institutions.  Kapoor Galleries has guided some of the most significant public and private collections of the 20th century as an arbiter of connoisseurship in the field for more than four decades.

Kapoor Galleries is proud to present Paper Shield, a summer exhibition showcasing contemporary miniatures and other works on paper by Pakistan-born US-based artist Hasnat Mehmood (b. 1978). Kapoor Galleries will also feature a curated selection of historical artworks from its collection to be displayed in dialogue with Mehmood’s works, offering a rich perspective on the evolution of artistic language through the ages.Please join us for the opening reception on Thursday, July 31, from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.Paper Shield will be on view through August 31.
