Paper Marbling 

Kelly Laughlinis an artist and creative wellness facilitator who focuses on the playful, meditative acts of making. She believes every person is capable of living a creative life and is excited to work with you in class. Kelly is the founder ofOdette Press, a small batch paper marbling and bookbinding studio specializing in stationery and journals created in nature with the intention to support self discovery through the act of writing.

Come make marbled papers and explore the meditative process of suminagashi, a centuries-old style of Japanese paper marbling. 
In this class you'll learn:

<LI>the history and context of this process, including how it has been used in historical and contemporary settings </LI>
<LI>how this process can teach us to slow down, connect to ourselves and nature, and give up a sense of rigidity or control</LI>
<LI>how to create unique, colorful designs using marbling techniques </LI>
</UL>
You'll connect with others, explore conversations on creativity, and walk away with a collection of unique papers that you marble and design yourself. 
In this class, all materials are provided, as are light snacks and refreshments. This class is perfect for learners of all ages and is especially fitting for anyone who seeks to enliven your connection to creative practices.
