Join the conversation about how New York City can improve its landmark campaign finance program. Our matching funds program is the model for citizens across the country who want to protect local elections from the threat posed by big money from special interests.
During the 2017 elections, the Campaign Finance Board provided more than $17 million to candidates running for municipal offices. This panel discussion will be your opportunity to hear about ideas to make the program even more effective at promoting our democracy. The event will feature a panel discussion with current and former elected officials discussing their ideas for improving the program.
Join us on August 8, 2018, for a public discussion of NYC's campaign finance program and the proposals to improve it, hosted by the NYC Campaign Finance Board and the New York Law School.
