Welcome to Painting Faces!

Join us for Painting Faces, a portrait-focused art session featuring a live model. This is an un-instructed event, perfect for artists and creatives of all experience levels who want to practice, experiment, or just create alongside others.

You’re welcome to work in whatever medium you prefer from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, to other mediums of your choice.* Our model will hold a single pose for the 2 hour session, with regular breaks (this session is structured similarly to a figure drawing event).

Only seating (chairs) are provided, so bring your own compact art setup (sketchbook, pencils, portable easel, pochade box, etc). We’ll also have small clipboards, paper, and colored pencils available if you need them. Space is limited to encourage close access to the model, so arriving early is encouraged.

*For everyone’s comfort, please do not bring varnishes, fixatives, or strong solvents (such as Gamsol, turpentine, or other thinners). Oil paints are welcome only if used straight from the tube or with mediums like walnut oil. Water-mixable oil solvents/thinners are also not permitted due to their strong odor. Thank you for being considerate of the shared space and keeping this event brewery-friendly.
