About this event

What you'll do

Paint/ Photoshoot;an introduction to the Artist, a brief history of murals, importance of public art, examples of works in Miami. (No Artistic talent is necessary.)

-Introduction to materials, brushes, spray paint, rollers, drop cloths, latex paint, tape and palettes.

-Then an explanation of the process and meaning of 'underpainting" as the first step of creating a community mural.

A community mural involves groups of people creating together, I will show you the tasks and different sections of the mural. Each participant will be encouraged and given instruction on all facets of the mural. A group photo and progress shots will be taken during the mural process.

This is for all ages, perfect for familes, kids, couples, seniors, corporate, disabled populations, large groups or friends.

-How to create a wash, painting with water to make the next stage after underpainting possible is my signature style.

-Using different brushes to make different lines as well as the "dry brush" technique for shading on some realistic images will be explored by all in attendance.

Then the best way for everyone to enjoy their time is to learn by doing!

Set up and introduction is 5 minutes, The actual painting is one hour and the post/photoshoot is 5 minutes. The Final stage of details and photoshoot with your work to always remember the experience.
