Paddle Palooza

Come join us for a day of fun in the sun at Crystal Lake Park! The 5K race will start in the water at the beach and the course goes across the beautiful, clean, and scenic Crystal Lake. All proceeds from this event will be used to fund scholarships for area youth to attend Camp Sunshine and the Harrison Rec Department summer camp.

Water bottles will be given to the first 25 applicants. Awards are hand-crafted locally.

Raffle and silent auction will be held during the event.

Grab your friends and family for a day filled with kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding. Enjoy the scenic views of the lake as you paddle around and soak up the summer vibes. Don't miss out on this epic water adventure!

Note: This is a fun race; it is not a qualifying course.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to wear a life jacket?

Children under 13 must wear a USCG approved life jacket. People 13 and older must have a lifejacket within reach. Also, paddlers should have a whistle or horn.

Can I use a multi-user paddle-board?

Absolutely! Last year the winner of the most creative team was four ladies on a paddle-board.

Is this a certified 5K race?

No, this is a fun race for a good cause. We were able to fund six scholarships last year for Harrison summer camp for kids. This year we hope to donate to Camp Sunshine as well.
