Join us at the Reading Room Bookshop on 28th May as we celebrate 100 years of Michael Bond with a traditional birthday party for Britain’s most beloved bear.
We’ll be marking this very special occasion with all the ingredients of a classic birthday celebration. Expect colourful bunting, party games, stories, and of course a birthday cake as we gather to honour a character who has delighted generations of readers.
We’re also pleased to be celebrating the release of a brand-new Paddington Bear title, which will be available to purchase on the day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover the latest adventure and take home a special keepsake from the celebration.
Whether you grew up with Paddington or are introducing him to a new generation, this will be a warm and cheerful afternoon for families, young readers, and devoted fans alike.
