COURSE OVERVIEW

Take the next step from Primavera P6 Scheduler to P6 Administrator. This hands-on technical course is designed for experienced P6 schedulers and project controls professionals who want to understand how Primavera P6 EPPM is administered at the enterprise level.

Students move beyond day-to-day scheduling to learn how to configure, govern, maintain, and support a P6 EPPM environment. The course covers P6 enterprise architecture, EPS and OBS structures, enterprise data, user administration, security profiles, project standards, portfolio management, administrative best practices, troubleshooting, database/IT coordination, and ongoing system maintenance.

The emphasis is on practical P6 administration skills rather than database engineering. Students learn what a P6 Administrator is responsible for, what belongs to IT or the DBA, how administrative decisions affect schedulers and project teams, and how to establish repeatable standards for a healthy P6 environment. The course combines instruction, live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, administrator standards, troubleshooting scenarios, and Q&A.

Classes are taught by Primavera instructors who are experienced in providing both Primavera P6 training classes and P6 scheduling consulting services.

Learn To:

Administer, govern, maintain, and support a Primavera P6 EPPM environment.

Course Outcome

By the end of the course, students should be prepared to independently perform the three functions your courseware identifies: ADMINISTER — GOVERN — SUPPORT. That includes managing users, security, EPS/OBS, enterprise data, calendars, roles, templates and settings; establishing standards and access controls; and diagnosing common user and system-administration issues.

Who Should Attend

Ideal for:

  • Primavera P6 Schedulers ready to move into P6 Administration
  • Senior Schedulers and Planning Leads
  • Project Controls Leads and Managers
  • New or backup P6 Administrators
  • P6 Super Users responsible for supporting other users

Recommended prerequisite: Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling. This is an administration course—not an introductory P6 scheduling course.

Course Materials

I would advertise this because it adds considerable value. Your courseware specifies that students receive a course slide deck, hands-on labs, an administrator playbook, and a customizable P6 Administration SOP template.
