A Special Edition Multi-City Session to learn how communities can move from participation to ownership. Expand Your Block!
Owning The Block: Multi-Regional Session
This is not your regular workshop. This is the one public session during CLTRE Exchange Weekend where community members, entrepreneurs, developers, organizers, investors, and local leaders can sit in the room with regional leaders and hear how other cities are thinking about economic development, commercial real estate, and community ownership
Owning The Block is built around one question: what happens when communities stop waiting to be included and start learning how to own, finance, and shape the places they live?
For this special multi-regional session, we’re bringing a cross-city perspective to Sacramento. You’ll hear from leaders connected to markets that are further along in neighborhood revitalization, community ownership, economic development, and place-based investment. The goal is to take real lessons from other cities and turn them into action here at home
This session is for people who care about where Sacramento is headed and want to understand what ownership can look like. Expect a sharp, honest, high-energy conversation about how communities move from renting space to owning assets, from being impacted by development to participating in it, and from watching opportunity happen elsewhere to building it locally
This is the ONLY public opportunity during CLTRE Exchange Weekend to engage directly in this kind of regional conversation
Come ready to ask questions, connect, and think bigger about what your block can become
