Own Your Mind

Junior Chamber International is primarily a personal development and leadership organisation for young people aged 18 - 40. We provide practical opportunities to develop these skills through a variety of topics.Personal development workshops: We run monthly personal development workshops around topics such as leadership, positive mental health, health and wellbeing, how to buy a house etc as well as more traditional workplace skills.Social events: We have a monthly social meetup at the Bullitt Hotel where our members can meet and network in a more informal and relaxed atmosphere.Business visits: Each quarter we go along to a business or organisation for a tour in a classic field trip style. Last wuarter we went to the Grand Opera House and were taken on a very interesting tour!International conferences: JCI is a global organisation and as such our members are able to make subsidised trips to international conferences in the UK, Europe and around the world. This gives our members the opportunity to engage with positive young people from different backgrounds, communities and cultures. This year European convention is in Riga, world congress is in Goa and UK National is in Doncaster!!Community events: The thing which ties our members together is their interest in making an impact in their communities. We have led on and started a range of community projects aimed at improving the lives of people in Belfast. Next month some of our members will be volunteering with the Welcome Organisation as they distribute food for the homeless in the city centre. Incidentally this project was started by our chamber last year and we continue to manage and look at scaling it across NI and the UK.

JCI Belfast

JCI Belfast brings together Mindset Coach Phil Hunter and Clinical Hypnotist Warren York to speak about the power of your subconscious mind and why its the most important tool you have. 97% of what you do is controlled without you realising or being aware of it, meaning you run on autopilot 97% of the time. Warren York Hypnotherapy was voted TOP 3 Hypnotherapy in Belfast and is the only BrainWorking Recursive Therapy (BWRT) practitioner in Northern Ireland. He is a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and The General Hynotherapy Register with a BSc in Psychology, and is an approved therapist for Anxiety UK. 
 
Phil Hunter is a Coach, Author, Business Owner, Entrepreneur and Local President of JCI Belfast. He took a new direction in life by becoming a Mindset Coach and earning a diploma in "Joint Professional Life Coaching and Counselling" from The Power Within and "Thinking into Results" with the Proctor Gallagher Institute, and is the owner of Phil Hunter Coaching and Platinum Websites.

What will happen on the event?
We will start of with some ice-breakers and find out a little bit more about Warren and Phil and their journey. We will find out what they do and how they help people. The MC Aisling Brady from JCI Fingal will be the host, asking the guests a series of questions. The speakers will then have a bit of time each to talk and give some valueable information on how you can use your mind to acheive a better quality of life, highlighting some of the key areas we all struggle with, such as overcoming obstacles, getting rid of negative habits and how to stay positive and motivated. Warren will tell you about clinical hypnotherapy and how effective it can be in changing habits and he will talk on some of the key areas that are massively underlooked in hypnotherapy. Phil will then talk about how you can use your mind for success and acheiving your goals, which includes something you might never have heard about which could dramatically alter the direction of your life when applied.
 
You will get to hear some stories along the way and the informal conversation style in parts will allow for a dynamic and free flowing discourse which always uncovers some interesting insights into the mind. By the end of the event, you will have plenty to take home with you and apply in your own life and give you lots of food for thought on how you can better understand and use the mind and how it really is the most powerful tool you have. We look forward to seeing you at the event!
