Sausalito Women's Club Tour and OWA+DP social

Please join us for a Sunday afternoon at the Julia Morgan designed Sausalito Women's Club.
The clubhouse was designed by Julia Morgan in 1918 (Her fee was $280 and the construction cost was $5727.50!). It is currently home to the Sausalito Womens Club and rented out for weddings and events. For pictures & more info about the building, click here.
Enjoy the enchanting beauty of this cozy space with a guided tour by Dana Whitson, chair of the Sausalito Womens Club Preservation Society. Ms. Whitson will share the building and origin stories with us. It's perfectly aligned with their mission to provide education and public access to their building and grounds.
Schedule:
2:00 pm-3:30 Tour of building & grounds with Dana Whitson
We'll tour the building and gardens, hearing stories of the parallel struggles of Julia Morgan and the founders of the club, followed by a discussion of both the architecture and art in the club.
3:30 - 5:00 pm OWA+DP social/mentoring time for us to enjoy the cozy space and discuss our own interests/topics in small groups.
Homemade refreshments (Iced tea, hors d'oeuvres, sweets, iced tea, beer, wine) provided by OWA+DP members (sign up here if you want to bring something)
How to get there:
The clubhouse is in the hills above Sausalito's waterfront. Its a 15 minute (uphill) walk from the Sausalito Ferry terminal. You could take the ferry from SF (arrives 12:00pm, leaves 5:45pm)
Driving is the other option, the clubhouse has a small parking lot and street parking.

There is a requested a donation of $10-$20 to support the Sausalito Woman's Club Preservation Society, a non-profit organization created to: 1) Fund the preservation of our historic Julia Morgan designed clubhouse; and 2) To provide public access and education to our building and grounds.
