About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

In this presentation, Joe Baillie will share about the unique benefits of Mindfulness-Based Recovery Skills (MBRS). Learn about key tenets of this approach, such as how to cultivate awareness of personal triggers and habitual reaction patterns and change your relationship to discomfort. These recovery skills can help create mindful pauses in the seemingly automatic process of relapse.

Learning to harness the pause also has applications to everyday life. This presentation will empower attendees to deal with stress, addiction, or other obstacles -- their own, or that of a client's or loved ones. Mindfulness can be a valuable tool in your journey towards wellness. Join us in learning how.

About the Presenter:

After twenty-seven years working in corporate industry, Joe Baillie, LPC, C-MMT, found meditation as a healthy means of managing the increasing stress and anxiety of his work life. He is licensed in Massachusetts and DC, and he has worked in community mental health and addiction treatment since 2008.
