Join Carey Antoszewski for a fun, hands-on session that covers the basics you need to get started and choose a backpack for your first endeavor, whether it be a half-day hike or a full week of backpacking. Meet fellow beginners, ask questions and get the lowdown on essential gear and tips. This is a great chance to kick off your first outdoor journey in a chill, supportive space!

FERAL is a used outdoor gear store in Denver, CO, so you'll have the opportunity to purchase your first pack after the training for less than it would cost to buy it new.

Space (and therefore, the number of participant slots) is very limited. Please only RSVP for this event if you're a true beginner who wants to get fitted for their first set of gear, and if you learn you can't make it after RSVPing, please release your spot so someone else can use it.
