Outdoor Retailer Hike with Latino Outdoors

Join us on a beautiful hike through Red Rocks Park! We are celebrating the Outdoor Retailer Show here in Colorado and getting out to enjoy a scenic trail and good company. We will meet at the Mathew Winters Trailhead (see map above) at 10:15 am.

Know before you go:

>Wear comfortable walking shoes with good tread

>Bring plenty of water and snacks

>It will be a high of 52 degrees, so wear layers, warm clothes, gloves, and bring a windbreaker jacket

>This is a moderate trail and about a 3 mile hike

UPDATE ON START POINT:
Hello everyone! Last minute update to tomorrow’s hike for simplicity:

Let’s meet at the Matthew Winters Trailhead instead of at Red Rocks. Take I-70 to the Red Rocks exit, #259. Go S for a little bit, then turn right where the sign says Matthew Winters. The hike will still end at Red Rocks.

UPDATE ON TRAIL CONDITIONS: it is partially snowpacked. If you have something like yak tracks that you can put over your shoes for increased traction, bring it! Otherwise, hiking boots or trail shoes with good tread will be okay and we can take it slow over the patchy spots.

The weather will be in the 40s when we start so bring layers, gloves, a hat, and sunglasses!
