Organized by

The A.J. Read Science Discovery Center of SUNY Oneonta is a free, hands-on museum for people of all ages and abilities. Our mission is to connect visitors to the joy of scientific discovery through authentic interactive exhibits. The SUNY Oneonta Planetarium, located in the basement of Perna Science Building (a short walk from the Center) has been presenting live night-sky shows under its dome for over 50 years. Updated with a digital projection system, the SUNY Oneonta Planetarium can not only show the night sky, but also transport you across our solar system, galaxy and to the very edge of the known universe.

A note about ticket prices: For the first time in our history, we are charging an admission fee for planetarium shows ($3 per seat). This small fee will help us offset the increasing cost of planetarium maintenance and allow us to offer the highly requested Saturday shows.
