Join Oula providers and staff in honoring Black Maternal Health Week with a special screening of the documentary film "Aftershock” to shed light on the concerning disparities faced by Black women within the U.S. maternal health system.


After the screening, we will come together for a thoughtful discussion led by social worker and activist Shawnee Benton-Gibson. We'll delve into potential avenues to address the pressing need for equity and justice in maternal healthcare.


About Aftershock

Aftershock follows the heartbreaking stories of two young women who tragically lost their lives to childbirth complications, inspiring a movement to address this urgent public health crisis.
