This in-person workshop will cover the broad basics of Operation Technology (OT) security. If you are an IT person in manufacturing, oil and gas, water treatment, or another business with OT/IoT, and you want to learn more about OT Security, this workshop is for you.

This In-person one-day OT Security Training course provides a practical foundation in industrial control system cybersecurity, blending technical principles with real-world applications. Attendees will gain an understanding of OT environments, security risks, and best practices for protecting critical infrastructure. The course is designed for IT, OT, and security professionals seeking actionable knowledge to enhance resilience across operational environments.

Curriculum Highlights

  • Fundamentals of industrial automation, ICS architecture, and asset management.
  • Safeguarding of ICS devices, components, access and environments.
  • Industrial network security, including segmentation, protocols, zones, and conduits.
  • Governance, risk management, monitoring, and incident response strategies tailored to OT Security Program development.
  • Standards, frameworks, and guidance (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST, and emerging approaches).

Participants will have a roadmap for securing OT environments, bridging the gap between IT and OT practices, strategy, and practical tools to strengthen both day-to-day operations and long-term resilience.
