Mission: To preserve and make available to the public the history of forestry in Oregon, and to provide a place and opportunity to research and publish information to Oregon's forest history.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Lend a hand by dusting, polishing, and giving the museum a fresh look. We'll be repositioning some exhibits and cabinets for a better visitor experience. You may also help remove and clean blinds before rehanging them.
Important Information:
There is a picnic site on the State Forestry campus. Snacks, beverages, and lunch will be available. Mill Creek runs through the campus. Portable restrooms are available on-site.
- Feel free to bring your own bottled water for hydration.
- Please bring your own gloves if you prefer for both indoor and outdoor tasks.
- Dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes only. Be aware that some tools on display have sharp edges, and old wood can have splinters.
- We need 20 volunteers, minimum age 8. Children under 8 are welcome, but please contact us beforehand.
Bonus for Train Enthusiasts: We have a HO model train display that needs some love to get it running smoothly again. If you have experience and interest, we'd love your help!
Free parking is available on-site, no permit required.
Meet us at Building A by the entrance, where you'll find the CCC Worker Memorial Statue.
